    Legend, nice 3rd place finish

How often do the tournaments run? What's the software like?
  3. #303
it is clunky with a capital C. the reps on 2+2 seem to know what they are about, so I am hopeful that will change soonish. they say all the right things. but it is hard to bet, the screens are small, bad font and cannot be re-sized, and every thing is sloooow. All ins in the cash games are really brutal slow rolls every time. Also it's only holdem.

I saw about 30 cash game tables running tonight I think. 1-5 each of .1/.25 up to $3/6. .5/1 seems to usually have the most tables running but it def varies.

There are usually 10-20 SNGS running from $1 to $10 with some of those HU.SNGs above $25 run very rarely.

They had 'sats' to the Sunday $100 running Sat and Sunday, but hey just paid in cash. It was nice because they were 1 table winner take all. No more folding! I already remember why I don't play SNGs.

MTTs just started today. They have the sunday 100 10kgtd (i am guessing that will go up : ). Then tonight they ran the first nightly $50 1k gtd (75 entries) and started running $5 turbos every hour.

The launch has been OK but there are many problems getting people signed up/verified. They use cell phones (among other stuff) for location, but Verizon does not work which is for sure keeping traffic down.

Also, I got the $300 max on right away with an e check, but have not been able to put more on until the first one 'clears' (it is posted at my bank). I could do it live but I'm lazy and don't have much cash on hand anyway. I am sure they are working harder at getting people accounts/first deposits, so once that clears I expect larger stakes/more tables will happen. It is clear they did not expect to be this successful.

Point is, I think the stakes/tables have a chance to get much bigger this month although I'm trying not to pop the champagne. I had no hopes really more than 'don't be one .01/.02 limit table day 1' so it seems like a dream come true, especially since we had no warning. I keep waiting for the FBI to knock on my door with the other shoe.

wtf wall of text. I need to get re-used to tourney adrenaline dump, it is much easier to relax after playing live 14 hours.

cliffs: things are good and looking up for UP

I hope ultimate poker is the begining of something that regulates online poker in every state in america ! kinda wish i could play there lol (aussie)

I've been following the launch a bit and it's interested, saw the cellphone problems - hope they get them fixed. Pretty neat you can go pick up cash if you want to cash out, at least if you live near a casino. The guys behind it seem to have played a lot of poker and have a lot of experience, and I imagine they'll be ploughing some money into development to get the software good and consolidate their market position ASAP

Keep us updated! I'm so happy that it's been more successful than expected. I can't wait til more states jump on board and all the Americans go home.

They say the issue has been resolved.

We are excited to announce that Verizon Wireless, Cricket and Virgin Mobile users are now able to play on Ultimate Poker!

For the last several days we were unable to accurately verify the location of users on the Verizon Wireless, Cricket or Virgin Mobile networks. We fully understand this has caused inconvenience to several poker players who were eager to play online at Ultimate Poker.

Our team has worked diligently with representatives at every level within Verizon Wireless, Cricket and Virgin Mobile to gain full approval to use Location Based Services for Ultimate Poker players on these networks.

Effective immediately Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile and Cricket users will be able to join AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile users and play on Ultimate Poker while in the state of Nevada.

Please remember that you must have the ability to receive and send text messages and have short codes enabled on your mobile phone to play. If you cannot receive texts or do not know if you have short codes enabled, please simply phone your carrier who will turn these free services on immediately.

Thank you again for your patience and support. We look forward to seeing you play at Ultimate Poker, America's first legal real money online poker site.

    Best regards,
    Ultimate Poker Support Aces

I cashed for $475, not sure how many were left. I busted after 3-betting in the sb with K6 vs (what I thought was) a loose button opener, c-betting a monotone flop with no draw, checking the turn, and pot size jamming out of position when a K fell on the river. He called with AA that had a flush draw on the flop :P oops

This is what it's like to play HU SnGs. It's just all ego all the time. And then occasionally you get to expose someone as a huge bitch.

I always find something I like to play on Pokerstars.
It does not mean that "IT" likes me

There are some games I like in particular - and did well in them for a while. One of them is a $2.70 buy-in turbo KO game at 15:00 est.
Starts with 3000 chips - so you have a little room, 5 minute blinds - yea it is not the best - but keeps the game from going super long.
Usually ITM starts shortly after the first hour (which allows late registration). Game gets pretty good if you get deep.
The bounty is only $0.50 so bounty hunting is not "big". There are similar games with different buy-outs. Just look for the KO sign in the lobby.

Oh Sundays.. 6 hours, 8 MTTs played, ~$400 total buyins, net profit of $10.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

    Anyone playing any WCOOP?

I am far too lazy to play MTTs these days, I can barely get myself to play any SnGs.

It's been going good exactly a month since I started playing full-time and I can't complain. I need to play something that can build my bankroll but still pay bills so I think I have a pretty good low variance schedule. I'm still working part-time until I hit a big score or make enough to feel alright.

I just read your 2+2 HU4ROLLZ thread pretty funny stuff. I kinda wanna try grinding HU turbos or hypers for a bit one day but I'll have to learn all that.

Random but I remember we voted for your big game video on the 604poker forums and I think I saw you at the pokerstars vip party but I've never met you and I was drunk so I didn't say anything.

Here's my daily schedule if anybody else is sorta starting out and is looking into playing mtts full-time and wants a good schedule. For an average buy-in of $10, I think these are really good value tournaments:

    stars: 22, 326.10, 14.83
    8:00 big 8.80 25k
    8:15 5q 5k = 20.50
    9:00 3.30 4k
    9:00 big 22 50k
    9:30 hot 11 25k
    9:30 4r 4max 2k = 20.40
    10:00 5.50 5k
    10:15 11 3k
    10:30 hot 16.50 25k
    11:00 big 11 60k
    11:15 1r 3xt 60k = 15.10
    11:30 5c 4k = 15.50
    11:30 3r 20k = 15.30
    11:45 16.50 6max 4k
    12:15 4r 4max 2k = 20.40
    12:30 11 10k
    13:00 5q 7.5k = 20.50
    13:15 11 3k
    13:45 5q 17.5k = 20.50
    14:00 4r 4max 2k = 20.40
    14:30 big 4.40
    15:00 5r 12.5k = 25.50

    $4 non-turbo 180s = ~20, 90, 4.50

    total = ~42, 416.10, 9.91

Also sorta for entertainment here are some fun hands I've played recently:

    http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...726_E97D644C9A

I don't usually raise flops like that with KQ but the player I'm playing is so bad I was kinda messing with him all tourney like this. I thought the way he played he had a drawy hand like 78.

    http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...242_DCDB0831A6

Thought that was just an awesome call at the time.

    http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...144_2E8B493321

That one was sorta easier to pick off.

Here's a move I recommend on dry ace high flops against the right players. I don't give much credit to flop raises on these kinds of boards.

    http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-h...692_DD7BAAB67B

Having just realized you can search players on boom I might stop booming hands lol unless I'm deep in a major tournament and want to portray an image or tilt someone.

I played all three of sundays wcoops but I sorta got tilted had a few shitty beats in all of them. I might play on the last sunday of wcoop as well a couple more but I'll see how the month goes.
  42. #342
If you're playing those stakes full time stop playing WCOOPs. You're just punting cash off. Glad the going full time is working out for you though

I'm not big on taking shots but I'm being staked for a bit and the manager wants me to play them at least for the experience and the slim chance of hitting big.

Yea low stakes I know but I guess eventually the plan is keep learning and improving and slowly move up stakes and eventually make some money till I can play on my own.

Anyone playing any SCOOP? I might play the $700 HU this coming Tuesday. I wanted to play the $2k HU later in the month but I'll be in the States for a wedding :/ I would like to play the Ante Up this coming Thursday but I can't, so if someone here could play that and let me live vicariously through them, that would be great. And post hands from SCOOP in this forum please!
