I find that my play at the PP $11s is not too shabby- I can usually get a decent stack somewhere in the first 3 levels (either a double up or some aggression with cards), but I never seem to have the same knack at the $22s. Keep in mind I have around 50 tournies in each level so small sample size... but as my $22 ROI reaches -22%, I start to worry.

I think it might be a smaller pool of fish waiting to double me up, combined with my 50 tournie sample size of $22s (just haven't caught the cards I need to bust a fish), but I always seem to be in desperate situations with at least one big stack that bullies the table when the blinds creep to 50/100. Do I need to be more aggressive earlier on in these tournies? Is the difference between $22s and $11s that pronounced, or am I seeing patterns where there are none?

Also I don't know if it's just variance in my experience, but it seems like that there are usually 5-6 people left over at the 50/100 or even 75/150 blind level in the $22s, whereas there are usually 3-4 left over at the $11s - less reckless people perhaps?
