Default A question of table image...

I'm curious as to people's take on this:

When a tourney gets shorthanded + blinds worth stealing and you see somebody raise pre-flop that just raised pre-flop the previous hand and folded people out do you tend to think:

    A) He's getting aggressive. Maybe I'll call/raise here without a premium hand. OR

    B) He surely wouldn't try for 2 blind steals in a row. He must have the goods this time.

Strangely enough, I tend to think B) yet I play as if most people think A)...I don't usually attack the blinds with garbage 2 hands in a row (usually).

I tend to think B as well. I think typically your hand needs to be stronger the second time than it does the first, as you do seem more likely to get called.

Once it starts going to 4+ times, you know the guy is getting very aggressive.

Those are tough situations. I tend to think they are stealing, but I cant do much anyways. However, if they are stealing from me. I tend to all-in them once early before the blinds get big (they fold hopefully). It will make them think twice, next time they try. Maybe better if they call once where they normally raise, I would try the all-in (with any solid cards that is).

    i'll go with b.

case in point, SNG down to 5 players, i get (in a row) JJ, JJ, AJ (only once from a blind), do a preflop raise on each hand, and end up with just the blinds. so, if it can happen with me...

now, if there's someone that does a 2xbb raise EVERY TIME they're on the button, i'm more inclined to assume a steal and push back.
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...
