    Default Stalling

Does stalling in an MTT annoy anyone else as much as it does me? I get absolutely steamed when I'm on a table with 3 or 4 stallers more concerned with making their entry fee back than building their stacks. It's especially annoying when one or more of the people using this tactic are the big stacks. WTF are they thinking?

Do you use this tactic? If not, any suggestions for battling it, or should I just suck it up and realize it's just a part of some peoples game?

It does make people mad, but what good does it do you to get upset? If it is allowed you may as well get used to it and dont let it "tilt" you. No use try to think what they are thinking either, short stacks do it, large stacks do it. They have thier strategy for irrational or not. Dont worry be happy! Youll play better.

why does it make you mad? It's an obvious imafish tell, plus you know anyone who has been stalling (especially a big stack) and then comes into a pot has a hand. I wish everyone would give out such info.

Well, I never get tilty over it, and yes, it's a big tell. I just hate watching paint dry, esepcially when I've got a stack to build. I did tilt a couple of stallers yesterday, though, simply by calling them out on it. Gotta admit that was funny.

open another table, fire up FTR, talk to your dog. If you can't handle a little down time you might re think the poker. And stay away from satellites.

Pretty much precisely what I do, with the exception of the dog part. As for handing it, I do. There is a big difference between steamed and tilted. Some of us Type A's thrive on steamed. lol
