Default What's your calling range ($10 PS)

Villain had been loose aggressive, raising many pots preflop. Is this a monster or blind defense by the big stack? What's your calling range here?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    CO (t2100)
    Hero (t1265)
    SB (t4530)
    BB (t1590)
    UTG (t1925)
    MP (t2090)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, T.
3 folds, Hero raises to t300, SB raises to t1550, 1 fold, Hero ?????

I think this is a push pre-flop. definitely call.
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

Wow this is close...I'm not really sure actually. I'd probably call here because it's sooooooooted.

i think more times than not this guy will have a worse hand than you. Your bet looks like a steal.

you're up against a raise and a re-raise and even though the raise is from an extremely loose player you can't discount the re-raise. I just can't put the SB on a range of hands that would make my A10 +ev. I think he has anything from 9's up or A10 up.

If the SB had folded I could see pushing here with the suited overcards, but I just don't see calling with the SB getting into the pot.

I fold to the reraise. Instead of raising 3xbb, I would open push this preflop. IMO A10 isn't strong enough that I want to mess around postflop to get more value, and the push is +EV no matter what calling range you put SB and BB on.

As for the reraise, you're probably behind or flipping with something like 66. And if you're flipping, you want to be the one pushing, not calling.

I would only raise 3xBB here with a hand I could call AI with comfortably, even though opponent is fairly aggressive. Probably AQ+/TT+. Any other hand that I would play, including the ATs, I would just shove in the first place.

I guess I'm in the minority herre, but I am not pushing here. I think you will only get calls from better hands and there isn't enough in the pot to make it worth risking your stack. I would have made it 250 and folded to the reraise. He may have been stealing earlier, but coming over the top of your raise indicates a real hand, almost always better than A10 and often dominating you.
