if and when you find out when this does start , please let me know , according to one post , there were only 11 players in the village and it seemed to me that it wouldn't take long hence-forth . not sure what percentage is from villiagers to wearwolfs but i'll play in it , k .

it wont be spectacularrrrrr since im not sure what im doing, but we can do a type we havent played in a long time. and i have no idea how to randomize the stuff nor how to structure how many baddies to goodies

Why would you need help wuf? It'd be easy to mod a standard game. If JKDS can get all spectacular on us, I think you can manage without anyone holding your hand!
Anyone helping you mod is not going to be able to play, unless you're gonna find a way of doing it while giving helper literally zero extra information.

And pascal, it's a pretty easy game. First we lynch noobs, then boog, then we start trying to figure out who the wolves are.

Put everyone in, hit random, then something like...

1. wolf
2. wolf
3. wolf
4. seer
5. vig
6. angel
7. villager
8. villager...

etc

I'm sure rilla can let you know what ideal wolf/villager ratio is when we know numbers.

okay i went to list randomizer, entered five names and five roles

got this list

1. wolf
2. villager
3. special
4. ong
5. ms dana rong
6. villager
7. wuf
8. rilla
9. villager
10. fatred

is that the way to do it and just manually connect dots or what? like matching the first role with the first player and so on. so it would be ong wolf, ms dana rong villager, wuf special, rilla villager, fatred villager. there's gotta be an easier way to do it. not that this is hard, but im mechanically retarded

I wouldn't do it like that. Doesn't make sense.

Say there's five playing, idk... me, you, rilla, jkds and bigred... one wolf, one seer, three villagers...

1. wolf
2. seer
3. villager
4. villager
5. villager

now go to random.org, throw the names in, randomise, and whoever is 1 gets wolf, 2 gets seer, other three villagers. Just make sure you have the template in place before you randomise.

I got...

1 jkds
2 ong
3 wuf
4 bigred
5 rilla

so jkds is wolf, i'm seer, others vills

Ya man, you just assign one list a set of numbers...then go down the other and assign roles with random.org.

Wolf to villager ratio is VERY tricky. To start, some nerd did a study and said that
-With no power roles, the wolf chance to win a randomly decided game was equal to the number of wolves, divided by the squareroot of the number of players.

So thats a starting point. Then you can vary the likelihood by adding villager power or by adding wolf power.

Ways to add villager power
-add helpful power roles: such as seer, angel
-add more villagers
-subtract wolves
-add a faction (hurts badguys, they kill each other often)

Ways to add wolf power
-add wolf power roles
-add hurtful town roles (vigilantes generally, for example)
-add wolves, subtract villagers
-add misleading roles (maybe the seer isnt always legit?)

You can do a lot more than that too. Killing roles generally help mafia, investigation type heavily favor town, theres a ton of stuff. I had a bunch of threads i used to design the first spectacularrr game that talked a lot about this...but i lost them :/

Also...in games without a ftr playerbase...wolves win more often than not in balanced setups...due to the nature of complete information. However here, id say town wins a lot more often. We're just good at being villagers. So i tend to give wolves more power than they otherwise should get...and iirc both games were won by town :/

ya i always did like top 1-4 wolves and the last 2 or 3 people were specials or w/e

maybe its cos we play so much that we know each others styles quite well. Or maybe its cos of rilla.

I actually read that in general the village wins more than game theory would suggest, because it is hard to keep up a lie, most people can't keep up faking emotions for too long. That is also the way I try to spot wolves, and I think a lot of us who play more often tend to do.

Although the one I played on another forum, I was the mafia don with a team of 4 baddies, and we aced it. Took out the whole village and a hidden second hidden faction of wolves. But I figured it was because a lot of them were girls, and they just let us ly to them and ate it up. No offense to the girls playing here ofcourse . But you gotta have a psychopathic side to do well in this I think lol.
