    Default Interview with drmcboy

We managed to sit down with drmcboy and ask him a few questions:

FTR Exclusive Interview – Ben Amlin AKA drmcboy « Poker Blogs

I think he is a great player and has always been a great person and poster.

Nice interview. The Dr's one of those guys who it seems like every single post he makes is aimed at helping someone, even if he can be abrupt about it.
Just dipping my toes back in.

Yesssss. My dodgeball team is the "Fred Savages" and I've been looking for the past 2 days on how to get the whole series.

We bought a bootleg set a while back. It is OK, a couple eps have some random cut outs and stuff and one has no sound.

They will probably never officially release it because it was long before people thought to license the music that was in their TV shows so they would have to re score everything.

Greatest poker accomplishment? Probably getting through 2007, I broke even for the whole year and at one point during year my roll was down around 6k from a high of 25k the year before. Whole weeks went by where I would not play at all.
Damn. What was your average buy-in during this downswing? Did you play mostly large field donkaments? Is this your largest downswing in terms of buy-ins, or have you suffered worse?

Since my recent downswing, I have been trying to determine some realistic bankroll guidelines for someone playing large field MTTs (and can't afford to lose his BR). I'm thinking it's minimum 400 buy-ins at this point, but maybe your downswing will make me think it's even more.

Great interview, btw. You are probably my favorite poster on FTR and I really enjoyed reading it.

    .
    $100.

it did not feel as bad as breaking even in 2007 did. I know I'm not going to go broke, back then I played in some bigger events than I should have relative to my roll.

I play a lot of smaller Omaha tourneys, usually if I'm playing HE it's a big field, smallest nlhe are probably 50c on ft during day, 250 ish, i think their 20/30rbs are usually that size.

What's the best way to learn push/fold ranges for Omaha tourneys? Plug a bunch of hands into ProPokerTools and see what sorts of equity you have with certain hands?
