Default Question about unregistering from tournaments.

Hi, I'm a newbie here. I have a question which I need answered. I won an FPP buy-in satellite at PS into a $315 buy-in event. The problem is that I am unemployed and I'd rather have the money. Is there any way I can convert that into money? What happens if I unregister to the tourney? Do I get $315 "refunded" into my account? I did not receive a ticket for this event.

The event is a $315 $300k 6-max shootout, a format I am totally unfamiliar with. I usually play micro sng's and am not good enough to really "go for it".

Any help would be appreciated. Also, if you do reply, please use small words and pretend like you're talking to a dull child. I am not familiar with all of the lingo and conventions used around here.

    Thanks in advance!

uhm. you should have read the terms of the fpp satellite. It really depends.

Some basically say you will be automatically registered and if you unregister you will get tournament $ (t$). while you can't withdraw those directly you could use them to play in 5$ sngs or the like and you win real $.

Others say you get a ticket and if you unregister you will just get a ticket which you can only use for that specific event (but at a later date or w/e).

Most satellites that I've seen on Pokerstars allow unreg for t$ except for the ones to live events and the steps satellites.

Thanks, I contacted support to double check your reply. You are right about the t$. I have unregistered and been refunded t$ to my account. Will be playing many sng's to try to cash it. Thank you for the reply.
