    Default i call thin

i misclick preflop and call with t9. lol i know no one is going to believe me. opp is 20/15/5, and by the reads i have i put him either 97, 74, or a bluff. This guy is a solid straightforward type 100nl reg, so clearly if he had anything on the turn he would've bet.

umm, seems decent, you look weak, he's aggro and you do beat a missed heart, AQ, 76, etc. very thin though, not sure it's good, but definitely don't blame you.

What's with the weak $4 bet? I am willing to think here he has a hand here better than Tens and I'll let it go. But, I dont know your image at the table. I am willing to guess a better than normal hand, hoping to get some extra money. AhKx is hand that might play like this, so is AA with Ace of hearts. But your read is probably right, its either the nuts or a bluff and I'll take the nuts FTW.

You said he is str8 forward, so I wouldn't call.

you say he's solid and put him on 97 or 74? this could be either a set of fives, caught on the river (he'd probably raise that pf and check 0because of the scary flop), maybe even KK and monsters of such. I play NL50 and some people are chronic slowplayers of top sets and other monsters, so i definitely wouldn't call this. as played, i'd throw a half-pot on the turn - if called - easy fold on the river, even better checking it down. he probably doesn't have a flush and he is sure you don't either from the way this hand was played.

    verdict: easy fold

I just can't see AA not betting this flop with position. I really don't see AKx not betting this flop or turn. If he's a fish maybe, but a decent player at 100NL, I don't see it. He has to bet any kind of hand he makes in last position or else he can't build the pot.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

    55?

If he had a hand on the turn he would've bet unless he misclicked, he's too solid to not. the other guy who bets out $4 is a laggtard and it's pretty obvious i have him beat.

it was more of a joke than a guess, "solid taggs" at pstars 100nl generally are not good enough to do this, and its generally incorrect as a value raise anyway without fairly strong reads.

for those of you trying to put him on possible "missed draw" hands, he doesnt have extra incentive to bluff just because he's missed, because he had not been semibluffing at all. His incentive to bluff comes only from perceived weakness in opponents. If he is a solid tagg he is pretty much limited to having a set/straight (for value) or <TP (a bluff). The bluff could be with any two cards he is capable of raising preflop, and it might even be a hand worth a call here (99, JT, JJ), but given the weakness shown, bluff-raising has become more attractive.

I would probably give him credit for 55 and fold without a read that he's actually a thinking player.

depends on what level he s thinking. this is a very bad bluff if it's a bluff... since it makes no sense... which means that if he's giving you credit for any kind of reading skills he's only doing this with a monster.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I just saw his reasoning: There's no way either of these guys have anything, let me raise and take the pot. They'll see the raise and think oh he must have something even though it makes no sense. That's why i'd think he was bluffing sometimes.

then it s fine... nothing needs to be added, esp if you ve seen him do this before.
