    preflop - fine

flop - with a straight (or already made straight) and flush draw, and you having a good number of outs, i would push all-in here. if he wants to chase, make him pay to do it.

turn - his flop betting (since he didn't reraise you) looks like no flopped straight, but now two flush draws - once again, push all-in. although at this point, he probably feels pot committed and is not backing out.

river - with the river spade and his $5 bet, i'd fold assuming the flush

if i suspect a draw, i like to hit hard on the flop. if they still choose to ignore pot odds, at least i'll cash in the majority of the times they don't hit their draws.

With the size of the stacks there, unfortunately the mentality of most online is "I've already got this much committed - might as well try to draw it out.."

Although you could have amended your betting, I don't think it ultimately would have made much difference on that one.

you know, at least on party poker, you're probably right. but if it's down me and one other player, i'm spending the money to make them pay for their draw.

and if they don't hit it, (as fnord would say) compliment them on their bad play: "dude, that was close, you almost had me with the flush..."

Trouble flop for Big Slick. Not only the draw threats, but also a very real 2 pair or flopped straight threat. The nice part here is your stack is short, so you can take this one to the felt. I've lost A LOT of money on flops like this. Heck, if the pot was smaller and/or stacks taller, I'd seriously consider folding to the flop bet.

Stop with the minimum raises. You're not protecting your hand and giving out too much information for the value you're getting.

Pre-flop: Call or raise to $2-$3.
Flop: My base raise is 3x the size of the inital bet. On this flop you shouldn't mind a fold. I raise to around $7-$8.
Turn: Push-in the rest of your chips.

Preflop, you already had 2 guys in, and one is raising .50, which means he has a little pocket pair or is enticing another raise so he can reraise with KK or AA. Come to find out, the guy stinks and has Q5 suited. What an idiot.

You should have made took the raise up to around $3 IMO, then folded if he came back with a bigger raise back at you. Instead he called the $1 and chased down his flush. Raise those premium hands. How long were you at the table? Did you know this guy raised on crap earlier?

I agree with that, but seeing how the guy played Q5 suited, he probably would have called it anyhow.
