    Default Some random 200NL hands

I'm not running really well at 200NL, so I'd appreciate some comments on a couple of hands..

    (1) Easy turn fold right? For some reason QJ/KQ went through my head, very -EV mistake

    1) Yep, fold turn
    2) I like it, I don't think he pushes this river with hands you can beat. Raising the turn is expensive.
    3) Unraised pot I call.
    4) Its HU so I bet the turn. Give it $40. As played call river.
    5) Do you think SkyBlues first bet is a semibluff?

    1) Probably dump the turn, your not really ahead of much. If he's not a maniac I think he's got a set.

    2) I'd raise the turn, theres a strong posibility of a straight draw(If he's not there already) and I think you need to find out where your at.

3)Fine, I'd play that all day long, esp. against a relative short stack

4)Again I think thats fine, you limited the damage by checking the turn and could easily provoke a bluff from an aggressive player.

5)How loose are they? Do they do that with draws? Have you seen them getting cute with AA? The fact that he's willing to push into a almost dry side pot indicates a real hand, but without a real read its hard to tell.

6)I like it, your still a favorite over a lot of his potential holding and if its going in anyway you might as well do the raising.

Did you have reads for these players? One thing with a lot of these hands is you have been put at a tough, marginal decisions where some kind of read can make the difference between + and -EV. 200NL players tend to be much more aggressive and hard decisions come more frequently.

This is on Prima right? I played there quite a bit. Are you running PT and PA HUD, it can really help with the thought process as well as letting you data-mine which really helps table selection.

    Thanks for the replies.

    (1) Of course he showed 33. A bit of overthinking/wishful thinking ('he can't have 77 now'; 'I counterfeited QJ now.' etc)

    (2) He either has KQ (not very likely), or he bet his set at the flop (but why no reraise then?), or he semi-bluffed J9/98 (very likely). Don't think reraising the turn is optimal here.

    (3) Does anyone not pay off TT/JT/KJ here? He showed JT, I split with runner-runner Kings

    (4) I actually think this was the perfect play.. I'm losing 1 bet to a set/flush anyway, so this maximizes my profit against lesser hands. Results: Villain showed 22.

    (5) Villains showed AA & KK. Wanted the first player out with KQ/QJ/flushdraw.

    (6) Shorty had AcKs :P

flattin ur 4bets, makin u tilt
3 is hard to fold but realize that you only beat a bluff........QJs probably isnt that confident

    got to lay it doooooown
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

My thoughts (I'll try not to be results oriented).

    1) Preflop and flop are good. I would check that turn though. He's not calling your flop bet with a draw, so he's either got you crushed or is setting up for a bluff. Try to go for a cheap showdown, otherwise fold.

    2) I think you played it fine, although another alternative might be to just call the flop bet and then raise the turn. If he 3-bets you there, then easy fold. As played it's tough but I'd fold that river w/o a specific read.

    3) Sucks, but I fold to the push without a read. All you beat is a bluff here.

    4) Perfect.

    5) Cry and fold. Only hand you stand a chance against is A K

    6) Goot, although I'd be really tempted to shove once the action gets back to you for the last time. Smallguy only has $100 more, so it puts you in a tough spot it you miss the flop and he bets out.
