Not sure what to make of this...

Im never really sure how to play these and usually if I am OOP against the PFRer with a set on the flop I check to him expecting to get another bet that depending on the board I can either call or raise. Would checking to the raiser be better here?

betting into pfrer is usually best imo. ppl remember it when u show down the set and u can often use it to bet into them in later hands. Plus ppl usually react to being bet into with a "fuck you pussy" mentality (except the nits).

If Im the PFRer and its checked to me I am usually betting the flop. If somebody leads into me I typically will fold hands that completely missed or raise my hands that hit. If the board is incredibly unlikely to hit my opponent or they make a really weak bet then I will raise regardless of my holding. I think this is how a lot of people would play it as well, maybe even fold more than I do. So in this situation wouldnt checking be more profitable? You get a cbet out of hands that missed and hands that hit are typically going to call your raise as well.
