    Default 3 hands...sanity check

dropped 1.5 buyins , need a sanity check
all of these hands occured within the 1st round of hands, so i didn't get a read (normally i would open up PT and look up my datamined stats, but usually when i do that i end up spending an hour table searching instead of playing)

Hand 1: I just call this turn here. Usually only a better hand will call your allin reraise and a worse hand will bet when you check to them on the river.

Hand 2: No slowplays!!!! You have to pop this preflop but postflop is fine.

Hand 3: You could fold to his checkraise here on the flop, given that there are like no draws here. But, I am not folding to the turn bet as the ace doesn't scare me as much as it probably scares him. That, and the turn bet looked pretty weak, villain could very likely have KQ or KJ here.

Hand 1: You don't have any fold equity with a check-raise, I'd bet about 20 here on the turn to try and see a cheap-ish river. Not sure if I call a shove here, player dependent.

Hand 2: Raise preflop. Postflop is okay.

Hand 3: I'd either fold flop or call turn. Either or.

i didn't call the turn because i would expect another bet on the river, and i don't wanna be tied to just a pair. say you call, and a blank falls on the river...do you call a large bet?

Hand 1: I usually 3bet against a minraise on a flop like this, because i fear a fdraw trying to see a cheap card more than a set, and oftentimes a hand like KQ or AQ will call u down, whereas there are a lot of cards that hand wont like to see and they may fold to a turn c/r ai.

now that you've mentioned it, i don't think i've ever did a 3bet since since i started NL. i'll need to experiment with that. typically you'd only do it with overpair or better right?

    I never fold AA postflop.

Is this a leak, making such a concrete decision to never fold aces postflop? Personally, I have found myself folding aces in many circumstances (paired board, monotone board to lots of agression, dry board to several players showing agression). I guess the idea of stacking off with only one pair aces kinda makes me sick.

Does this decision depend on the level you play at? As in, higher levels, players will take advantage of your ability to lay down aces to lots of agression..

Sorry for somewhat hijacking your post, |~|ypermegachi, but I guess this is relevant to your aces hands.

I'm not. Trying to put any idiot on a hand at 100 NL is so hard that by the time you might have a clue on where you're at the pot is too big and it would be incorrect to fold.

But, this doesn't mean I stack off with Aces every time I get it as on scary boards I'll keep the pot small and such. My opponents have a hard time building the pot so they tend to give me a good price on the river to see a showdown when I would have paid a lot more.

FWIW, I'm also never folding a set postflop.

In hand 3, I might raise the turn. This is where my post-flop notes on typical bet sizing pay off. Quite often I can figure if the Ace scared him.
