    Default shitty 15k hands

i am having the worst 15k hands, i hit nothing or if i do i get rivered 90% of the times. i kind of lost my confidence in my play, i fold every flop if i hit nothing, i fold TPTK on flop/turn 3bets and rivers all in, overpairs become my worst nightmare, every time i hit flush he gets full, if i am QQ + he is higher or gets set, almost every hand i have is rocket to the river.

whats the best way? step down to reduce the loses? stay here but tighten a lot? take a brake from poker? or swithc to small SNG from FR cash? i am asking cause it eats .... have been reseen hands i was 90% favourite... seems a too long negative variance run and i just dont wanna get broke, so from those with experience that have been trought this, what is the best way? ty.

Have you read The Poker Mindset by Matthew Hilger? It's a good book. There's a whole chapter on downswings.

If your play has been affected or your br is threatened, moving down for awhile is totally fine/standard. Downswings can also be a good time to take a break from playing, maybe look in your database or do a little studying. But don't change your game just because of the runbad, that could make things worse. Try to be objective in assessing your play. As Hilger puts it, poker is short term luck and long term skill.

Was it Einstein that said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing, expecting a different result? I guess Einstein wasn't a poker player. If your strat is solid then, like mike said, the worse thing you can do is change your game dramatically. If your in danger of going broke definitely drop down and crush some fish. Hell drop down just to freshen up. GL mate. Oh and join mIRC if your not in there already. Love that shit. I get insta flamed rather than having to post and wait. Nah, in all seriousness ppl right there in real time to keep you on track during a session.

They say misery loves company. In the past week, I've lost like 20 bi, 8 at 25NL, 10 at 10NL, now I'm back at 5NL. It's like I'm in freefall. Alot of it is me getting frustrated and doing stupid stuff but alot of it is runbad like I've never seen before. Several 300bb+ pots I lost when I was 75% or better. One stretch where villain had a set like 10 hands in a row. Just wow. It's gotten so bad I have to laugh. At least it's gotten me thinking about things and hopefully improving. I'm really happy about my uber-conservative brm now. If I break even this month, I will definitely count that as a win.

same think.... if i play the hand bad its my fault and i shit myself and bump my head... but when i am more than 80% turn favourite and lose 3-4 bi a day constant? isnt that fckin frustrating? i just wish i play bad.... but i didnt... last 3 weeks i keep 2nl up to 5nl 2days , get rivered, then back 2nl grind up 30-40$ more, 5nl 2 days again get fckd by variance again down 2nl... i am getting tired...
