I think you need to keep track of the average pot size. If it's 5 people seeing a flop then all folding to one bet, then you don't have implied odds for suited connectors really. But if it's 5 to the flop, one bets mid pair another min raises top pair, a third min raises two pair, and they all call all in when someone raises a str8, then you have implied odds. The real average pot size would be in between, but I'm just thinking that kind of number gives an ok base for implied odds calculation. Of course, if the pot is so big because of 1-2 big stacks, and they aren't in the hand this time, then you won't have implied odds for that hand because they aren't in the hand.
For raising to isolate, don't get discouraged if raising gets all folds...if it gets 1-2 calls some % of the time and all folds another % it will work out fine.
Anyway those are my thoughts for now. It sounds like a great place to just make good hands and bet hard.
