2/5 pounds, against shorty and deep with fish

-CO shorty was running like 23/14, but I mostly called pre to have hands with fish to my left
-fish in BB was runnin 52/7 over a reasonably small sample
-had a few hands with BB previously:
-first hand I bet Qrag on AQx board and he called, and I check called turn and river and he showed 66
-next hand I raised PF and bet 944 board with my 77, he called, turn brought 3h for 944h3h board and he minraised my barrel and i folded and he showed his 'bluff' with K8o
-a hand against someone else he raised their turn bet and showed pocket 2's (air)
-should I be folding to shorty's flop raise (cause I may be behind his range) or calling knowing that fish will come along?
-turn is......? who knows

I'd put in another raise on the flop. The fish is 98% not beating you then so isolate the CO.

I know trying to read a fish's range is not good, but what range does he have here that flats my lead, flats the shorty's push (instead of raising again) and then bombs this turn??

All T's might do this (I beat most) , JT, 89 (beats me), all clubs.

I realize this is a very marginal spot. I just figured it was a tradeoff between "waiting for a better spot" against the fish, or folding and maybe the fish leaves, or maybe someone else stacks him etc. Can't always wait for a great spot.

realistically, what is his range for this line and this overshove on turn?

I fold pre. Weak? We're only about 50% vs. shorty's raising range (assuming about 20% from the CO) and I think ATo has really low implied odds even vs. this BB fish.

Yeah I mean pre is really close too, with the fish it kinda makes it okay I guess. I agree about just putting a raise in on flop, maybe just a minraise and puke if fish shoves over you.

I actually think i'd be soo super tempted to call if i min raised flop and he shoved over. Cause on turn a few more hands got ahead of me (JT, 89) which are possible.

fish only make mistakes when they are faced with decisions.

You think the turn card changed our equity enough that we went from getting it in on flop to folding turn?

what if turn was some rag blank and we checked and he bombed?

ATo is an example of the hand you should rarely cold call OOP, either reraise or fold. Having a fish on your left is not a good excuse to play that hand. I would reraise against a shorty and get it in. If you had a hand with more implied odds, like SC, I would like just calling to let the fish in, but AT will get you into a lot of trouble even against a fish. It is a hand I hate the most from all hands in poker. It is good against shortie, but it is terrible even against a fish.

raising/folding preflop r likely correct here, both of your opponents have to play incredibly poorly postflop to justify a call oop with ATo from the sb.

you should also jam the flop or 3bet small but make a committing raise for sure
