also try and put yourself in another mans shoes sometimes. Sure from the outside he might look like a complete nut job. However if you try and understand the community and the mind set of an oppressed people you wont find it that crazy that some are extremely paranoid and prone to accept and promote conspiracy theories. yeah im the one whos ignorant, rev wright is just misunderstood. i think that anyone with any amount of common sense could recognize that hes a nut. do you take the same position with louis farrakhan? or is everything he says taken out of context, and he really is just a good guy deep down, that is just a little confused.

How about you read my post and actually give the first sentence a shot. I have agreed with you that the man tends to be extremely paranoid and comes across as loopy, and I also agree that given his position this is not appropriate. However it is a window into the mindset of a lot of people in this country. Im not saying they are all this zealous, but there is an underlying paranoia that runs deep in the black community. Instead of stomping on the man, how about you try and get something out of this, try and understand where he is coming from.


p.s. dumbfuck is just a really cool word, probably mirks up my post and gets a rise out of people instead of getting my point across but its a cool word none the less so I used it.

i put farrakhan and wright very close together in terms of how certifiably insane they are. you think im ignorant because im criticizing a man, because he is a "victim", or something, and god forbid we criticize a victim, no matter what bs comes out of his mouth. idk there isnt a lot of content as to why you think im ignorant, and quite frankly i dont really care, so you can stop saying it.

to answer your question, i try to put myself into an objective view point. that is the fairest way, imo. from an objective pov, i agree with you that some blacks in the country share these paranoid views. i have also heard from several members of black churches (including barack himself) that what wright says does not reflect the majority. therefore, i can only come to the conclusion that the reason people have these distorted views, is because douche bags like wright preach it to them, and thats their main outlet to the world. people like wright prolong racism in the america and the world. and as far as understanding him goes, i dont feel any need to try to understand self pitying racists.

and for the record, you may interpret what i said as, oh will has no sympathy for anyone, but i dont feel that way. there are lots of victims that i do sympathize with, like tibetans, victims from rwanda civil war, slave victims. however, these people dont take advantage of their situation and feel like they can do/say anything they want, and its okay because theyre a victim.
