Is this a check on the river as I have showdown value?
Should I have led on the turn?
Am I only getting called by a better hand?
Will the river check be seen as a bluff and therefore be called by worse hands?
What can villain possibly be checking twice that beats me?
Surely the second check behind would be a value bet if they had connected the board - being scared they wouldn't get paid?
Could this be a slowplay to pick off a bet on the river? Bear in mind the stats on the villain above - that doesn't make sense but is possible.

Found this tough as it was only hand 29. I'm happy pre finding smallball is not being seen for what it is at the $5 at the moment. Also didn't want to invite people in with it being 10s.

I think your line up to the river is fine, but I would c/c the river rather than lead. By checking, you might induce a bluff whilst if you lead opp might just fold. Plus if you lead and get raised you have to throw your hand away whilst if you check and opp bets, it is very likely that it will be a smaller amount of chips to get to showdown.

YAY another game another cash. Did the rare thing of dealing. bb was 400 at the time. Mr B was a decent reg solid stats vp 10ish sim on pr. Deal and move on in a spot like that, methinks. Don't always deal but sometimes it's the best idea. 18 instead of 13.5. 18 instead of 22.5. Sounds good to me. Superhot here I come lol

agreed about c/c being a better line. against a less solid opponent who calls with worse and whom you've seen call Ace-high a lead is ok. here however..leading:
a. never folds worse
b. rarely gets called by A6 (which prob isn't in his range)
you really only get value from like 77-99 which isn't much of his range.

Opponent dependent (best against those who call with Ace high and just plain don't believe you when you bet) I do like a turn lead some of the time.
You get value out of flush + straight draws and possibly a couple weaker hands. It's better than c/c turn when he fires with his draws.

this can put you in a stupid river spot vs maniacal players. any thoughts on this?

I like it better than c/c, I doubt he bluffs river after checking twice. c/f OK too.

Betting flop or turn is better(not both), I think I would usually just lead flop and then give up. If he's going to bluff us out he's got the board to do it and you can't stop him, may as well not give him infinite odds to make a hand. I think his calling range is widest on the flop, and it also doesn't make much sense for us to check any kind of hand on the flop that we would then bet when the 2s comes.

It makes more sense to me to check a gutter or Qx where you have a decent chance to improve. I don't mind getting moved off two non nut outs esp since he usually won't check a hand on the flop that will pay off even when we get there. In addition he'll often check HIS gutters and we also get to pay those off, but he'll almost always fold J9 here and often AJ.
