Default Impossible to make a profit?

Im really Starting to think its impossible to make a profit in sitngos. I have tried it all playing like a rock. Playin loose. Playing all in between and i can not seem to turn a profit i might win one or two but then lose 5 then win one or two and lose 3. The best i hope for is to break even.
    I hate Poker.

Playing SNGs means losing. The best players on Stars get in the money about 40% of the time. Obviously that means that they lose 60%.

Keep reading, learning, improving and posting hands. It really is possible to make a profit in the micros without being the next Phil Ivey.

Yea. you can get in the money a bit more at the buyin >10 though.
[edit] less than 10$ buyin obviously... haha I wish I could get in the itm over 40% at high stakes.. [/edit]

graphaments. notice where i get better???

I seriously was a b/e player at the 3.40 and 1.20 games only 5 months ago. I read alot of ftr and started thinking and.. viola.

If you try hard enough it's possible for anyone to beat micro sngs. You can have a pretty steady profit too because there is a large possible edge.

Do U multitable? And whats your win rate? does the profit come from just? cause when i play tight it seems like it just get down to less then 10 bb then i always seem to shove at the wrong time. I need help on my late play i think.

That's an exceptionally steady graph, dneureiter. At how many tables do you play?

Uh.. i have a operation in that part of the forums.

    I basically played
4.10 and 6.75 bounty tournaments for about 25-30% roi each
doing the 13.50s now where I've been doing alright too over insignificant sample.
ALL profit is pretty much 9man KO sit n goes. normal speed.

Yes I play tight. a little on the tight side if anything. like seriously running 9/7ish in the 10/20 15/30 blind levels.
You can shove amazingly light at certain times <10 bb deep in a sitngo. It can be disheartening to get called by a good hand repeatedly, and it happens. It's imperative that you do get reads on who you are shoving into. sit n go wizard is very good. there's a trial and it's seriously worthit. I recently gave in and paid the 100$ and don't regret it.

TY, I'm still working on my game and hopefully I'll be moving up again soon. Yes on the multitabling. I started with 2 (ok well one), then 4, been playing 6 pretty comfortable for a while. Tried 8... not really ready / interested in that yet. More worried about playing a solid game and moving up and learning more.
It's funny how the graph looks steady but sometimes it sure doesn't feel that way. It is reassuring to look at and be like "I probably don't completely suck balls because I've won before". These KO fields at small stakes are super soft. I'm sure I'll meet some variance in the future.

To answer the OP, one other thing to consider is the timeframe. You can only measure your results over the long term, which in poker means at least 500 games to know whether you are a winning player and many thousands to know your true ROI.

Also I agree with dneureiter that it definitely is possible to earn a (decent) profit at low buyin SNGs because there are just so many idiots around.
