Fold flop, fold turn (unless you improve).

I don't think that betting the flop is at all bad here, and I think I would call the minraise, check the turn and see what opp does. If he/she fires again, I am most likely out of there.

Yeah I think I call the minraise too and see what happens. Even if you think he's got an overpair you have 5 outs to catch trips or 2 pair. If he's got a set you're toast of course, but I don't think that stops me.

The problem with calling here is that you have no idea where you stand on the turn.
I would prefer to C-R flop

I think our hand is too good to check fold the flop, there are so many draws he can have. Getting min3bet here sucks without more info. Some fish do this with a flushdraw and shut down yet other people are only doing this for value or always barreling the turn. It's close but I'd probably be a station and see the turn. The fact that he does have JJ+ and AJ, KJ in his range really sucks. I think folding now and waiting for a better spot is ok too, probably a smarter decision because we are folding so many turns (or not folding, which is probably even worse)

Check raising the flop is interesting. It is kind of a semibluff if we have 5 outs to 2pair + and could be for value against his draws. It is basically committing though. If he bets 150 and we raise to 400-450 and he calls we have under a PSB behind and most turns are going to leave us with an awkward spot. The fact that he does have JJ+ and AJ in his range as a trap kinda sucks though, and if he ships over on the flop we have to fold and he might do that with draws.

i would discount JJ,QQ,AJ even players who try and trap with aces don't usually do it with weaker hands, its usually only aces or sometimes kings. i think calling ok but i would probably fold as most bad players are stations with draws so i weigh it more towards made hands and i think were really only beating the very bottom of his range.

With this hand I would also C-R flop.
