Default AKT5 vs 3b shove, late

villain is 50-20 with a non-zero 3b over 30 hands. May not comprehend the concept of having to play 2 cards. I got short-stacked two hands ago in some turn AI spot with 70% equity or something. Last 40 in 700 runner fo.

    snap right?

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    PL Omaha $1,800(BB) Poker Stars
    SB ($72,376)
    BB ($23,720)
    UTG ($37,310)
    UTG+1 ($60,820)
    Hero ($11,164)
    MP1 ($50,092)
    CO ($79,843)
    BTN ($63,534)

    Dealt to Hero K A 5 T

fold, fold, Hero raises to $3,600, MP1 raises to $13,500, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $7,564 (AI)

take this with a grain of salt, im no expert

With antes it might be okay to just pot/call all-in. Not a great hand but equities are much closer in PLO vs NL. If you make a raise with this stack, I can't imagine you should ever fold

short of some 2/0 nit over a good sample, never in the total life of your PLO tourney career should you open a hand with < 10 BBs and then not call the rest off. You would never ever fold this hand, but in that spot you might fold dry KK or QQ.

because of this you should open for the maximum once you get short, you are just begging for a 55/45 with this play.

yeah I would always mash pot here. There is very little advantage once you're committed pre to not going with pot - even if you have a good AAxx hand, the people who will jam dry worse pairs will probably do it either way, but even if not they will do it with lots of other stuff you would rather they fold.

You would also hate to encourage the SB/BB to flat and then jam any flop they catch a piece of because unless you flop a set they aren't going to make a mistake, and you'll make that same mistake when they flop a set.

What's the difference between marmalade and jam?

You can't marmalade it in her ass!
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
