    Default 1010 first hand

well Sng and Mtt forums have been dead lately so i'm going to try and post a bit more hands even if they seem a bit standard, because hopefully they start a few discussions, 1010 seems like a pretty ez spot.

but should you be 3 betting here in a 6 max, preflop?

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 12 Tournament, 15/30 Blinds (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    SB (t1500)
    BB (t1500)
    UTG (t1500)
    Hero (MP) (t1500)
    CO (t1500)
    Button (t1500)

    Hero's M: 33.33

Preflop: Hero is MP with 10, 10
UTG bets t120, Hero calls t120, 2 folds, SB calls t105, BB calls t90

    Flop: (t480) 8, Q, 6 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets t330, [color=#666666][i]
    Total pot: t480

Yes, the forums have been a bit quiet. Thanks for posting a hand!

Preflop: I think it's fine, particularly in a 6-max. Maybe you can consider making it 90 rather than 120 but whatever. When you say you 3-bet preflop, you open the action so you can't 3-bet.

Flop: Personally I lean towards just folding it here. Any raise is essentially pot-committing and flatting pretty much means that you have spewed a third of your stack if opp fires again on the turn and you don't spike a T.

3-betting PF seems to fold all the hand we beat doesn't it? The only hands we are ahead of that I can see 4-betting are maybe 99 and AQ/AK. Unless he is very bad he usually won't flat OOP with a worse hand.

@Taipan ... Hero doesn't raise PF, he calls!

I think you played it well. 3betting preflop leads to awkward stack sizes postflop and getting it in preflop won't be good since you are likely <50% here and there is no reason to flipping early.

Flop is a fold for me 100% of the time. You have 2 people to act behind you who can easily have checked KQ, AQ, sets and you will get trapped for a huge portion of your stack. The c-bettor's range is also probably weighted towards value hands in a 4way pot.

I agree we should post / discuss more hands though!

Oops, you're totally right, I misread the hand probably because the action was in red. Anyway, I agree with Hero's action of just flatting. Correcting my mistake preflop also makes me much more certain that folding the flop is the right action. In this sort of situation, and depending on reads on UTG, I can see pretty much needing a set or monster draw to continue.

I do think it's a fold on the flop. You don't get enough odds to justify anything else.
