Default 88 in BB - min raise on flop

This felt pretty bad, but not sure if I misplayed it. Preflop, I don't really want to raise over 3 limpers. You generally can't get people to fold early on in a deep stack tourney like this unless you bet really big, and I didn't want to raise to 400 and find myself playing a huge pot oop against 3 people. The flop is good for me, so I bet out. I get min-raised, though, which confuses me. I don't really want to fold my overpair, but I don't want to flat either, since there are so many cards I really don't want to see on the turn.

Any suggestions on how I could have played this better?

I wouldn't raise this preflop either.

If you bet less on the flop, it would be easier for you to flat a min raise.

Hmm, true. I tend to bet more with 4 people in the pot, but maybe that's not wise. If we do call a min-raise, is our goal just to try to get to showdown as cheaply as possible? If that's the plan maybe we're better off just check-calling the flop to keep the pot smaller?

    yea pretty tough spot,

    bet around ~160 on flop.

would it be safe to assume range is A2-A5, 22-77, 32s,34s,45s,56s, along with sometimes air(overs)/overpairs?

That range looks pretty good fulksy. My guess is most times with overs (air) he'd raise more, so I'd give a little less weight to that side.

Given my overbet on the flop what do you all do with the min-raise? I was really tempted to flat it, but just decided there was almost no card I wanted to see on the turn except maybe an 8. Folding was not entirely out of the question for me either.

yea you can discount 99+ a bit, also cause no one raised pre.

I'm guessing its pretty close, it kinda depends on how loose you think he'll call.
