how do i get monies in correctly postflop vs Loosepassive fish

ok so i flop gin on the loose passive fish. obv i won the hand and managed to get the money in however looking at the action and the board texture and how weirdly the hand went down i am wondering what the ideal play would have been versus the standard passive calling stations like we all love em.

ok so as u can see the donky mindonks the turn . at this point i felt it would be appropriate to make a betsize which would make him think i might be on a draw there since the board was pretty wet. I didn't want to look too strong , so when he actually min 4 bets turn lulz , i opted to flat . here's my problem , a ton of cards might freak him out on river , would a shove been more appropriate? the more i think about it the more i feel like i played it badly , luckily the river kindda bricked on an obvious flushdraw and he managed to spazz out AQo there.

It would be most helpful to you if you did a little math (in this thread) to figure out what the smallest raise size is on the turn to still have a pot sized bet left on the river. That way you get used to doing it and can do it quicker when playing.

Then, pick a raise size that large or larger.

I encourage more beginners to post hands they actually won. There's always a chance you could have played a winning hand better.

Anyways, you've played it alright I'd just suggest looking at raising a tad more on most streets, especially flop and turn. Like the others said, it makes it easier to get it in on the river.

Agree. Odds are he is chasing. If he re-raises our larger turn raise we can easily get it in on the turn. Obv. villain didn't shut down on the river but a lot will when they miss when they would have got it in on the turn.
