Just put in 1100 hands, about to grab some lunch and then put in another 1k hopefully followed by some exercise. Poker content time:
Ended up a BI, but really should have made so much more. I didn't death run, but I made some marginal plays that I would like to have back. I also noticed there's some laziness creeping up in my game. I'm making some flop calls OOP that are just plain bad, and spots where c/raising is clearly better than c/calling.
Here's one:
No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP ($135)
CO ($294.25)
Button ($212.20)
Hero (SB) ($201.40)
BB ($237)
UTG ($209.50)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A , 4
1 fold, MP bets $6, 1 fold, Button calls $6, Hero calls $5, 1 fold
Flop: ($20) 2 , 5 , 4 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $15, 1 fold, Hero calls $15
Turn: ($50) 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP checks
River: ($50) J (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $37.50, Hero folds

Results:
MP didn't show
Outcome: MP won $85
Here's a marginal play that cost me: Villain seems pretty stubborn and I'm 3-betting a lot and he's calling lots. The truth is, I timed out on the flop and was just going to b/fold but when I saw him stab I figured he's betting ATC here. Then when he shoves I think I'm priced in enough versus his J10-78 and underpairs enough to make the call correct...close though.

I ran into a few sets in reraises pots with AK on A high boards which sucked, but this hand incited in me the strongest ' fuck me please don't let this be a megadownswing' reaction. What's his equity on the flop? 1% or something?
