Some good settings?

Hi All,

I play 0.05/0.10 NLHE at Stars and it's been a bit up and down so far but I haven't blown my starting bankroll and I'm ahead after a couple of months so I guess I'm doing ok so far.

Anyways, I finally got Holdem Manager and it's boggling my mind! There's just so much info I don't really know what to do with it!

So, firstly, can anyone give me some good settings and things to look for when analysing hand histories please?

Also, the HUD has so much info in the default settings that I can barely see the table. So can anyone give me some idea on what might be the simplest and most important settings to have the HUD set on.

Lastly, the HUD doesn't seem to match up with the players. Sometimes the HUD is 2 or 3 table places out of whack. I think this might have to do with the fact that I have Stars set to adjust my seating view so it appears I am always sitting in the same spot. So maybe HEM is placing the HUD pop ups where the players actually are rather than where they appear to be if that makes any sense. Is there a way to fix this?

I know Holdem Manager can be daunting when you use it first however that’s to be expected with a product with some many features, filters and options but the more effort you put in to learn the more you will get in return. Of course you may just want to use it to do the basics and if so Holdem Manager will still give you the tools to help you improve your game.

After setting up those basic things you should be able to play and start using the hud. A common issue is for the stats not to line up properly, you can move the stats to where you like by right clicking and dragging them but also make sure you have preferred seating setup correctly if you’re using it on the poker site.
