People seem to forget that capitalism (and related theories) provokes and perpetuates immense suffering of millions (arguably billions), while egalitarian measures (often called socialism) like non-profit health care or law enforcement are responsible for alleviation of much suffering
The profit motive as the ruler of society is incredibly destructive. People just pretend it's not by being ignorant about society itself
I don't see what's wrong with having a capitalistic society with the degree of socialism necessary to alleviate the suffering of the masses. Going to the socialist extreme is as bad as going to the capitalist extreme. Both extremes are throwing the baby out with the bathwater without acknowledging the strengths each offers.
