I watched this the other day and from what I can remember, thought it was a good take.

The problem I have with it just relates to basic (for poker players ) first and second level thinking. If you're going to tell a lie, you don't make up the most weirdly bizarre, unbelievable plot imaginable. But I don't know, it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong about something like this and certainly won't be the last...

I definitely agree, but also disagree. A few tidbits

    - We're dealing with the old guard here. Establishment powers that could very easily get away with this just a few years ago. They underestimate the role of internet media/information abundance

    - It could still work, easily. Majority America still buys whatever shit the powers sell

    - It's the fucking US government. Are they ever not lying? Iraq was invaded for war profits and oil control, marijuana is illegal for criminal justice profits and oppressing minorities. IMO the default position on something like this is if a conglomerate of federal government, megacorps, and media are pushing a story, it's not true

    - On 0-1 level thinking, why would Quds be idiots in the first place?

    - At least according to Cenk, there are nearly zero reputable sources claiming this isn't bullshit or close to bullshit

FWIW, Cenk Uygur is the country's best political pundit. Some guys have very excellent analysis of political issues (Reich, Greenwald, Taibi), but frankly, I think everybody's at best second to Cenk. Politics being a big hobby of mine, I've found his predictions and explanations to be the most accurate. For example (I don't remember the exact dates/numbers), a while back he was discussing Obama's anti-terrorism policies and results and contrasting to the Bush admins, then predicted that within about 16 months we'd catch Osama. He was off by a few months IIRC. I have yet to see any pundit analyze and predict anything as well as that
