Beginner: limit or no limit?

Just read advice that a beginner would be mental to start on no limit hold em.

Now I am currently happy at no limit, though it is bloomin' hard work!

What do you guys think? I'm quite happy to reverse strategy if I am being mental!

Just stick to what you enjoy. They're very different games. You could choose either but most people tend to play nl I think. I hate limit, its dull.

If the rake wasn't so goddamn ridiculous at msnl they should introduce HU. Nothing like playing vs the widest ranges possible right off the bat.

Limit makes things like pot odds and implied odds really easy to get used to and it's usually much clearer what the correct play is. That being said, I agree with all the above. Just play what you enjoy. You'll probably end up losing more money to start, but as long as you're learning and having fun it's a fairly cheap hobby.
