Besides, if Cat did maim him, it goes against the character that the writers established for her, and they are bad and should feel bad. She is level-headed and does what's best for her children, full stop.
Seriously, her even asking for the sword is bad writing. When she learned the Theon took over Winterfell and her two kids and kill Roderick, she still wanted to talk to him. Her asking for the sword was just TV being TV, looking for a climax wherever possible.
ya, I'm cool with this view of it. They do seem to have become more willing to utilize cheap TV tricks this season. I'm really not sure why though, as this show just doesn't need that stuff.

Hope you don't mind the paraphrasing. Really though man, what compels you to post what you posted in this thread instead of the other? We honestly and truly do not want you to guide our experience. We don't want to know when your favorite part is coming up. We just want to watch the show, and discuss the show.
Not to encourage you to keep posting in this thread, but if you had waited until after the cliff hanger was resolved and said "man, it was cool following the thread as that arc went on, because I really enjoyed it in the book", I'd be much more OK with it. Still this is a delicate matter, and you have shown a completely lack of finesse-- so, yeah, maybe just post in the other thread?
