    Default KdQd UTG

    Lock Poker - Turbo NLH 9-max - $1.5 + $0.1- 20/100/200 Blinds - 7 Players

    BTN - 1,380
    SB - 1,835
    BB - 1,745
    UTG (Hero) - 1,990
    MP - 1,155
    HJ - 3,030
    CO - 2,365

    Dealt to Hero - K Q

Hero raises to 600, 2 folds, CO calls, 3 folds

    *** FLOP *** T 9 T

Hero checks, Villain is all in, Hero folds

I'm wondering if I played this correctly, or if I should have bet the flop or even folded pre-flop, or perhaps even called the shove. I know Villain is able to call behind w/medium pairs, as he showed 7s in an earlier hand against a short stack. I didn't bet the flop because I felt that I was only going to get called by hands that beat me.

    jam pre

if you raise you gotta jam the flop, as played if you check you have to call the flop

I ought to have called the all-in on the flop? I don't see how that's the right move. Very rarely is Villain doing that on a bluff, or with worse than KQ.

If you just mean calling a bet, say half-pot or so, then that's fine to me.

Meh, KQs looks pretty but it really isn't - even against a calling range of Ax+, Kx+, 22+ ( that's any ace, king or PP - 33% of hands) you're just barely ahead.

I like your reasoning and yes, the villain is probably calling a flop jam with any pair here - but you still have to jam.

Fold pre, jam pre or raise then jam flop, don't like c/c

The stack size is what makes it a call if you check...

He never said it's the right move, he said you have to call if you check. Checking in the first place is what you did wrong. If you check and then fold, it just makes the problem even worse.

Does anyone have a tool like SnGWiz to find out if this is an ok shove pre? I would think this would be a sigh fold without antes but maybe a good shove here.

Don't toss in 30% of your stack with any intentions of folding.

Looks like there are antes and this is certainly a jam then.

.09% edge antes, no antes -.51% edge. Not gonna mess with default ranges cus meh, but shove is fine with antes and it is a sigh fold without.

All the hand is a bad play. The best move is shove directly, as played you have to be the agressor so you have to push all the chips in that flop because you have some good outs to do that.
