Pretty widely considered to have made some fantastic metal albums post 2000. Although it's fine if it's not to your taste I'd say it's much more likely it's not a style of music you've listened to enough to get past some aspects of it which make it accessible to the general listener. |

Prob - I used to be "metaller" as we called them when I was a teenager in UK. I saw Panetera, Megadeth, Metallica, Gn'R etc etc all in the early 90's. (Plus Nirvana). I just can't get past the bear growling type singing. Sounds too theatrical - trying to be scary, but you know they're just a bunch of skinny kids who got bullied...I prefer listening to 70's Neil Young...I'm old. On second listen I do quite like the riff. | |
