Default Cbet this flop, if so what size?

    Zoom hand:

Reasonable sample on villain, and he seems quite nitty - 20/15/6.7, have seem him be 3bet four times and he folded two of them. Plays fit or fold postflop, having folded to 60% of cbets.

I don't think he can have too many queens to call the 3bet OOP here, so I'd be cbetting this flop with my entire range.

    Am I wrong?

    PokerStars Zoom No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Converted at http://handhistoryconverter.com

    Button ($23.50)
    SB ($80.03)
    BB ($25.35)
    UTG ($17.69)
    MP ($25.68)
    Hero (CO) ($26.54)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 3, 3
1 fold, MP bets $0.75, Hero raises to $2.25, 3 folds, MP calls $1.50

    Flop: ($4.85) Q, 6, 7 (2 players)
    MP checks

    Hero???

Ps. I'm not sure I like pre although I did have a nit behind me and a fish in the blinds, but I can think on that on my own - I'm more interested in this flop texture after this action, regardless of my cards.

I think at 25nl this is a pretty easy fold pre. At 2nl I'm calling. I don't see what 3betting achieves.

Post flop I guess cbetting is ok seeing as we fold out a lot of better pairs. We're not going to win very often by checking down so I guess we have to cbet. Dry flop so I'd prob bet a little over half pot, maybe $2.60.

Given his fit-or-fold flop strategy, I think it juices the pot for us to then steal it 2/3 of the time on the flop. Also, if he doesn't call too many 3bets OOP we take it down pre a lot.

That said, I am going to think about pre, because I am making excuses for myself here when I'm not sure I like pre at all, even though I can see factors favouring a 3bet.

I think you're right that the flop is dry - I'd be less inclined so say that in a normal raised pot, but in a 3bet pot I think it qualifies as pretty much bone dry.

You might be right, 3betting might be a thin +ev spot if played correctly post flop, but I'm not sure enough about that and feel folding pre is never awful here.

Yeah it's a dry flop given it's a 3bet flop and we're in position, the only viable drawing hand he has is 9Ts, and even then he probably folds it oop, and even if he has it, he's very unlikely to call a cbet based on his stats.

Nah he plays fit or fold postflop in normal situations, not necessarily in 3bet pots. They aren't always the same thing. Also 3betting with fish in the blinds is just asking to make our life harder.

Really think about your 3betting range because it seems like you're 3betting like any weak PP which just isn't a good idea in a lot of circumstances.

flop spot is interesting. Check it back unless you're happy firing multiple barrels. He probably doesn't fold TT to one bet here

Fold preflop, check flop. I'd rather have 67o than 33 here to 3-bet bluff and I defo wouldn't 3-bet bluff that.
