I just don't see the point of minraising a hand like this if we're not expecting bb to fold often enough. I don't expect we're raising hoping bb calls and we hit a miracle flop. Maybe we want to take down a raised pot on the flop, which we will do reasonably frequently. But I'd sooner just take down the blinds. I don't mind opening 56s in lp, but we definitely want the button to fold, and that happens more often when we x3.

I think I've just had it drummed into me that we raise more at lower stakes because people don't like to fold. A lot of people will call literally any two from the bb when we minraise. That's great when we're raising value hands, but not so great when we're in a shitty spot post flop with 6 high when villain's range is ridiculously wide, especially if the button decides his hand is good enough for a x2, which he might well do if he sees the bb calling a lot of minraises.
