I think I'll just have the part of my brain removed that cares about integrity and then go ahead and make a fortune on kickstarter. Unfortunately I don't have the technology or the money... Off to kickstarter!

Unless they are planning to live with their parents for the next year, they just bought themselves a weeks worth of funding. Forget the money to build a prototype. If you invest in this project you might as well treat a hipster to a cup of starbucks because that's where your money is going. I wouldn't mind a dumb project... strap some biofeedback tackle to a dog and make it say 'I wuff you'. But don't pretend like you're actually doing any science.
