Westworld starts on HBO tonight. It's had a lot of hype, I'll be checking it out.

Timeless starts tomorrow night. It's my bet for what I think will be the best new show this year. A criminal with a time machine sounds right up my alley.

    Any thoughts? Suggestions?
I don't know, but can I suggest you change your name to Prairie Muffin Licker?

p.s. I spent a few years in Edmonton. How many feet of snow are you under at the moment? Fuck that place was cold. Great summers though, and real nice city other than the winters.

For early October, it's not that bad right now, autumn colors and sunshine still. I have a feeling that this winter will be a bad one though, as last year was a cakewalk, and that rarely happens.

Where are you living now? What took you away from here?

I live in the UK now. I was in Edmonton because I was at U of A. Come from Southern Alberta originally. And you?

The first year I got there, it was snowing and -20C in October. I was like 'what the fuuuuuck'. But that was a bad year lol.

I can't recommend much in the way of series as I mostly watch netflix. There's a few shows that were good that I've watched in the past year though.

Pablo Escobar, Patron del Mal: 72 episodes. Colombian production, goes into a lot more depth than Narcos. Con: In spanish so means subtitles

Requiem for the American Dream: 1.5 hours. Noam Chomsky arguing about the concentration of power in the wealthy and how the poor get screwed, and it's getting worse.

Amanda Knox: 1.5 hours. Just a weird case, lots of nuts involved on different levels. Not a great show but interesting given the subject matter.

I love this sort of documentary. Count on me checking this out soon, probably this week.

My Edmonton story is not an exciting one. I've been here most of my life. Tired to flee a couple of times, but I keep coming back. I guess that makes this home.
