During the campaign he did it a lot at first but less so later, probably because voters don't like it.

Also because they changed his password.

The strategy seems to have merit. He killed many different narratives against him with this tactic.

That's one interpretation. Another is that people just got bored of trolling him. It's just too easy to get under his skin.
