I changed the name of IPlayEveryHand. Had a lot of fun hitting him up. He would play every hand pre-flop, calling moderate pre-flop raises. Then call on any pair unless an Ace or King flopped. Amazing how players like that on the rush can rack up chips before they come crashing down.

I got AKs. King hits the flop. I bet half the pot. He folds and I show.
I got KQo. Ace on the flop. I bet half the pot. He folds.
I got AJo. King on the flop. I bet half the pot. He folds.

Nice play, I laughed when he showed his cards!! Calling $3 pre-flop on K8?! Calling $20+ on bottom pair?! lol

Well, that's exactly who we want to be playing against. That's hilarious. Nice take down.

$2 pre-flop, $3 after the flop on bottom pair, overcard and a backdoor flush I'm sure that's how he saw it. I think he thought the force was with him that hand.

Actually I'm not too happy with my play here. I should gone all in against IPlayEveryHand on a side pot after the turn. Even if I lost to Player8, I had a good shot against IPlayEveryHand. Although his call surprised me. Up until then he had been avoiding serious trouble, particularly with me in the pot. I just got defensive when my strait didn't come and was spooked by the Ace on the river. Also, I think calling Player8's all-in check-raise was marginal with an obvious strait on the board. However, since I had 2 Jacks in my hand the likelyhood of him having the sucker end of it was pretty good and it was also easy to put him on a strong but vulnerable hand like 2 pair. I figured if he wasn't counter-bluffing (I'd been betting a lot), I had a 1 in 3 shot and was plesantly surprised I was ahead all the way at showdown.

Well, that's exactly who we want to be playing against. That's hilarious. Nice take down.
$2 pre-flop, $3 after the flop on bottom pair, overcard and a backdoor flush I'm sure that's how he saw it. I think he thought the force was with him that hand.

Wow, I wish I knew IPlayEveryHand's real handle. I'd love to play against him. We need to figure out a way to share notes on these guys(the worst of the worst). King 8 suited is not a very good starting hand and there was only one of his suit on the flop!

Internally, we've been discussing sharing notes on players, creating a master database of information that would be downloadable. We would need to regularly upload the new notes we take, consolidate them to the database (by date and time stamping each note), and then downloading the entire master again.

I was concerned about accepting other players' notes, there are some players I believe know what they are doing, but a lot of others whose notes may be of questionable quality.

Why not make it online and put contributors names next to the comments? If you don't trust someone's comments, call them on it or disreguard them. Also restricting access would be critical. No freeloaders.

I would imagine it working somewhat like a message board, only sorted primarly by account name with a secondary index by last update.

Although, I'm much more interested in sharing information on sharks over fish so we can keep our money and avoid tables with too many of them. There are pleny of big fat Tuna at the lower limits and they often turnover quickly because their bankroll can only take so much abuse. There already is a mental list of regulars in my mind that play around the same hours I do. When I see more than 2 of them at a table I know it's time to find another table.

After what happened to me recently I am all for a database with these player notes so we can hunt down and prey on these types of players. Check this out.....

This weekend I'm playing at UB at the .10/.25 NL tables. An observer comes to the table who, we come to find out, has been basically following this one particular player at the table for the last several months. Following them, taking verbal jabs at them, etc. After about 10 minutes of this people at the table start calling him out saying things like "put your $ where your mouth is." and things of that nature trying to get him to come to the table. He obliges. He brings $25 to the tabel, plays a few hands fairly recklessly. Then he says, "OK, next hand I'm all-in regardless of what I have. Take my $ please." Well, a maniac he may be but he was true to his word and went all-in pre-flop. Someone called him. This fool ended up beating JJ when he drew 2 pair holding 27o. He just laughed and laughed. He did this a few times. He won 2 of 3 times that he did this. The last time when he did lose he got down to around $10. To this point I had nothing to call him with so I didn't get involved in any of those pots. Well, like clockwork, a few hands later he says it again, "Alright, next hand I'm all-in no matter what my cards are." Well, here it is. My chance has finally come to take this fools $. I get dealt AA! I am the only one in the pot with him. He draws a straight holding K8o. Again he laughs and laughs. Now I am absolutely furious. I feel myself tilting but can't walk away. A few hands later when he once again says he's going all-in I get dealt 10-10. I call and lose again!!!!!!!!!!!11

Anyway, I think you can see my point. A databse full of bad, reckless players would be something that i would relish the opportunity to have to take advantage of. I know that I was just the victim of some bad luck there and that will happen and that eventually I will win $ from those types of players. But, MAN was that frustrating!

I take notes on just about any player - good or bad. I definitely note strong, tricky players, they are important to know. It's also good to know which players give their money away. But to Fnord's point, those players have a limited life.

I have a very busy day at work today, but I'll give some thought to the database, maybe we have players post their notes as Fnord states, and we would have the choice to incorporate those notes or not.

The solution we were contemplating was automating the process to a single database, perhaps a web-based PHP appliation to upload your notes and consolidate those to the database.... but maybe that isn't necessary.

Couldn't you leverage poker tracker and get hand histories from many people and consolidate into one? This will give pure stats rather than perception of players. I didn't purchase poker tracker yet but I will soon. It seems invaluable.

One drawback to any of these methods is players that were fish 6 months ago may have made major improvements since then. Therefore, stale data could cost you.
