The action screams AJ or KJ or QQ or even, but unlikely, AA to me. Like previous posters, I think with a set or a straight, he would have check raised the turn. Many weak/tights also think TPTK is the nuts. I would bet as much as you think he would call on the river. As well as being weak/tight, have you seen him make any really tricky plays? The last check is Chanesque with the 89 or a higher set, because he has to know that you're solid and likely to check behind a lot of the time, but also that you are pot committed enough to call a substantial bet. I'm super-curious to hear the results.
