You're thinking, "she still wants me!," and she's thinking, consciously or subconsciously, "I wonder if he's moved on? If he does this for me, he obviously hasn't, and.....I've still got him, even though I don't want him anymore!" It's like a power trip type deal.

My guess is you'll probably do it because you think there's still a chance, you'll tell people "you just don't understand," thinking it could actually work out this time......it'll happen a few more times, then you'll finally wake up and realize how fucking dumb this is to let this girl get to you like this.
