Default Big Garbage Hand Squeezed Pot

Villain is an unknown, haven t noticed him do anything so he s probably not terrible, we ve only been at table for a few orbits together.

PFR is very loose-passive/weak so I'd expect anybody who s aware to be 3-popping anything big pre.

PKR's HHs are unconvertible for the time being so from memory :

    eff stacks are 140$

I have on btn, weak rando opens 2.5x utg, 3 callers in front of me (villain is UTG+1)

I make it 13, all fold except for villain

    flop is

Villain checks and I tank for a while then check

    turn is

villain bets half pot (18ish into about 35)

    I tank and call

    river is

    board now reads

pot is about 72, villain overbet shoves for 110$

thoughts? fwiw i think the turn is the easiest decision in the hand.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I'd fold as well...and there is some merit to raising the turn vs an unknown + given his betsize.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

How convenient that he just happened to stumble on the nuts in this squeezed pot where our preflop action is going to induce maximum spew.

I'd probably raise turn. People will convince themselves way more often than not that you have clubs, than you having 8x.

Most of the value in flatting this turn is if he's the type to barrel off on a bluff on the river. In which case, if he IS that type, then I'd be tempted to call now.

Im in the raising turn camp. I dont think a loose/passive will be bet folding any decent draw, pair/draw here. This would make it easier to take his stack by the river as well. He will probably never put you on an eight either coz "ZOMG he 3b pre and would def bet top pair", ( i think this is what fish think like). I dont mind turn overbet shove either. Loose passive's will probably have a decent opening range UTG+1 as well so he might have 99 1010 type of hands here as well which he might convince himself to call a shove.

This makes alot of sense to me.

@OP, can you discuss why you decided to 3b pre here? I would have thought our hand was good enough to flat and play pots IP.
