This reminds me of an old neighbour of mine who ate steak every other day, and on the other days chicken. He died recently of colon cancer at a relatively young age. YMMV.

I had a neighbor who drank water every day. He died of metastasized skin cancer a few years ago. YMWV.

I hear you but just looking at the guy you felt he was damn unhealthy, and I was surprised it wasn't a heart attack that killed him. Besides colon cancer has been shown to be tied to certain diets, and more common in developed countries (i.e. places where you have access to lots of meat).

Colorectal cancer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Diet: Studies show that a diet high in red meat[9] and low in fresh fruit, vegetables, poultry and fish increases the risk of colorectal cancer. In June 2005, a study by the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition suggested that diets high in red and processed meat, as well as those low in fiber, are associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer.
Jyms eats salad though, so he'll be fine.
