Ladies and gentlemen of the village, I present to you Exhibit A. The "Wolf on the Ropes Desperation Post"
You can clearly see he is using threatening syntax and statistics to make the village second guess themselves to buy time. A common practice among wolves who feel threatened.
Plus, look at the way it's worded.
