I started mixing drinks recently. I've been watching "bar rescue" and got inspired. Playing with whisky atm. It's pretty fun honestly.

@renton: the bars on bar rescue are almost always in need of rescue because the owner drinks the profits away. Good on ya.
I really like that show, and it tends to be more interesting and have a bit more depth than some of the other similar shows aimed at American viewers. The UK Kitchen Nightmares are still my favorite from the genre, though. Anyone know of anything else more along those lines?

I used to really like Bar Rescue, but the later seasons started to seem fake or over-acted, with way too much interpersonal drama happening.

I haven't watched it in a while, but the episodes of "The Profit" I saw were good (CNBC). The main guy in the show tries to help failing businesses, often by investing in the business or buying partial ownership (using his own money). Or sometimes he just gives up because the failing business isn't worth saving, usually because the owners won't change their bad habits that sunk the business in the first place.

I only watched the first two seasons or so of Bar Rescue, but I don't doubt it turned into that. It seems like they all do once ratings start falling a little (which they normally do after a couple of seasons).

I'll take a look at that show later and see how I like it. Thanks for the recommendation.
