Definition
A form of rake taken by a casino or card club that consists of a fixed amount per hand that sees the flop. This form of rake is common in California card clubs. Distinguished from rakes that are calculated as a percentage of the pot (common in online poker) and also from time charges (common in high stakes live games).
Example
"I used to play 4-8 at Commerce, but the drop is so outrageous that you can't beat that game."
