Bodog has released the dates and information for the latest rendition of the very popular Bodog Poker Open series. The upcoming series will piggyback a little bit on the concept started by PokerStars in the recent SCOOP series. They will offer three different buy-ins for the small-stakes players, medium-stakes, and of course, a high-roller buy-in.
The events kick-off on April 26th and will culminate with the main event on May 3rd. They will have a guaranteed $280,000 up for grabs during the series. One interesting twist to the main event this year will be that Bodog will not put a guarantee on the main event, but will instead add $75k to the prize pool. That’s a very generous offer, even from a site that’s known for usually having some pretty good overlay on guaranteed money tournaments.
They also will be offering some of their bounty tournaments during the BPO3. Included will be Mini-Bounty tournaments in which they will pay-out bounties for when certain players are knocked out of the tournament. Players who will have bounties on their heads will not only be Bodog Pros Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande, David Williams, and Justin Bonomo, but also winners from BPO2 and other high profile Bodog tournament series.
