With Andy Black and Annette on top and at the same table you could expect a lot of action, and that is exactly what everyone got. With the blinds starting at 1,500/3,000/300 there was plenty of room for play (blinds are set to go up in just 15 minutes as the level was not over from yesterday).

The action started quickly, courtesy of Andy Black. The first elimination of the day was a double whammy and happened in under 10 minutes! Team PokerStars player Luca Pagano had about 50,000 chips in his stack and moved in from MP. It was folded to the chip leader Andy Black in the sb who flat called. Then the bb Kjondal re-raised all-in for over 140,000 chips and Andrew Black snap called, flipping over KK. This was crushing Kjondal’s QQ and Pagano’s 66. No hand improved and Black eliminated both players increasing his already massive chip stack to over 500,000.

Annette also could not wait to start accumulating chips and within the first hour she did just that. Simon Munoz who was second in chips raised to 13,000 (blinds now 2,000/4,000/400) and Annette, like she had been doing all tournament, re-raised to 37,000 from the sb. Munoz called and they were heads up the the flop which came AT6. Annette bet 45,000 and Munoz instantly declared he was allin. Annette called, turning over AJ which was in the lead against Munoz’s T9. The turn fell another 6 which was a great card for Anette, and the river was a 2. This hand crippled Munoz to around 50,000 and gave Annette a huge boost, up to over 400,000. She is now very close to Andy Black and they are starting to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

It seemed as if it was the Andy and Annette show, as Black finished off Munoz shortly after. Black raised to 17,000 (blinds now 2,500/5,000/500) from the CO, and Munoz re-shipped his stack of about 90,000. Black called and was in the lead with AT against Munoz’s A3. Munoz failed to improve and finished in 19th place. Andy Black now has over 600,000 and looks to be cruising to the final table.

Shortly thereafter, Obrestad continued to play the Andy and Annette show. Johnny “bad_ip” Lodden ended up getting allin preflop with Annette, and his TT was trailing Annette’s QQ. The Queen on the flop sent him all but out and he failed to hit any runner runner’s. Lodden was the 17th place finisher and the last to earn €10,210. After his elimination, the players are now redrawing for the final 2 tables. Andy Black is the dominating leader with around 650,000 followed by a tight second Annette Obrestad and Ludovic Lacay we both have around 500,000.

The final 16 players are now down to the final 2 tables! Be sure to check back for more updates as they plan to play until the final table which will take place on Day 4!
