7 €66,370
8 €47,650
9 €30,630

With Annette being the chip leader, she is definitely the clear favorite! But everyone has to have their eye on the €532,620. Let’s get into the action.

The blinds are started at 4,000/8,000/1,000 and were set to go up very soon. The first all-in action of the table was between Reuben Peters and Casper Hansen. Peters was one of the shorter stacks coming in and moved all-in on the very first hand dealt, but no one called. However a few hands later, he would be. Peters moved all-in and was called by Hansen. Peters showed 99 but his nines were no good against Hansen’s KK. He was up to leave until a 9 fell on the flop, and Hansen did not improve. This left Hansen crippled and put Peters in good shape.

Shortly after Hansen’s bad luck would continue. Annette raised from UTG and Hansen looked down at QQ. He shoved in his pile only to be snap called by Annette’s AA. Her pocket aces would hold up making Hansen the first elimination at the final table in 9th place, earning €30,630. The rest of the players will now start earning more after every elimination.

The next victim will regret this bluff for a long time. Thierry Van Den Berg opened for 25,000 (blinds now 5,000/10,000/1,000) and was called by Daan Ruiters. The flop came down KQ2 and Van Den Berg fired out 18,000 and Ruiters called. The turn fell the scary A and it didn’t slow down Van Den Berg, as he bet 46,000. Ruiters deliberated some but eventually called. The river brought the A and Van Den Berg moved all-in for his last 245,000. Ruiters had Van Den Berg covered and went into the tank. He eventually made the call much to the dismay of Theirry who tossed his hand into the muck. It was later revealed by the dealer as 83, a 3 barrel stone bluff. Ruiters showed A4 for trip aces on the river. Van Den Berg finished in 8th for €47,650.

More clashing of big hands with the blinds this large. Shortly after Van Den Berg’s exit, there was a big preflop all-in between Michael Durrer holding AQ and Trond Eidsvig with QQ. The board brought no help to Durrer and left him with just 20,000 chips to him name. The very next hand Durrer moved in from UTG and Annette re-raised to 50,000. Everyone folded and Durrer turned up K5 which was behind Annette’s AQ. When the cards were out, the board was TT26T, which sent Durrer out in 7th place earning €66,370. The table is now shorthanded with the average stack at 550,000 so the play should now be filled with even more action!

Anders Pettersson never could get much going as he started the day shortstacked. He just couldn’t find many cards to play with and eventually shoved after it was folded to him in the sb with Q7o. Trond Eidsvig made the call out of the bb with A4o. The board would help no one and would send Eidsvig out 6th place and €83,380. The 5th place casualty found its way to Daan Ruiters who started the day second in chips. His day was ended by none other than Annette Obrestad. Daan earned €127,630 for his 5th place finish.

They are currently down to 4 in Dublin! They have only been playing for about 3 hours and already lost 5 players. If it keeps up at this rate the tournament will be over soon. Here are the current chip counts:

Annette Obrestad – 1,500,000
Reijo Manninen – 1,100.000
Reuben Peters – 420,000
Trond Eidsvig – 270,000

Annette is still the chip leader with Reijo in a close second. The blinds are now 6,000/12,000/1,000 and it is still anyone’s game. Check back for more action and the conclusion of the EPT Season 4 in Dublin
