FTR Gauntlet VII Game 4 Summary – NLH

It was Wednesday, which meant game 4 of the Gauntlet VII. Players were looking forward to this more than usual because game 3, which was PLO8, had been canceled due to low turnout (I guess 9 players is the minimum). But game 4 had more than enough people and the action started quickly! If you are unsure what the Gauntlet is, check out the end of this article for information on how to register. Like I mentioned earlier, this is game 4, but only 2 games have been played by anyone due to game 3 being canceled. So after game 2 there was a bit of movement on the leaderboard, and since now players will be changing positions each week I added the Change column, which shows your jump from the last game:

There were a lot of people playing their first game who did well so skyrocketed up to the top, like GatorJH and reDZill4. Nutsinho and givememyleg are still in the top 2 spots, with nuts having an 86 point lead above leg. Also, Gator is only behind leg by .4 points who has an extra game played, so has the advantage over him. There are also many other good players who just haven’t ran the best in the first 2 games who will get on the leaderboard eventually. I’m pretty sure that there will be a lot of flopping around for the first few weeks, with people getting their first games in.

When it hit 10:00, there were 28 players registered spread across 4 tables, which was 12 less than game one. However this is pretty normal as the opening game is usually huge then the player count levels off. We need to get more consistent players so we have a large field every game, so remind others whenever you remember. Also, if you tend to forget make sure to sign up for the Gauntlet Game Reminders! This left dozer (PokerStars ge00) with just 60 chips and was eliminated the next hand by rowey who held AK. In just 3 minutes we had our first man out, dozer in 28th place.
