The biggest name at the World Series of Poker Main Event final table is, without a doubt, Phil Ivey. Although he goes into the November Nine in 7th position, poker fans around the globe are counting on his prestigious talent to make up the difference. Some observers will be pulling even harder for Phil, thanks to the new ‘Piece of Ivey’ promotion from Full Tilt.

The online poker giants are arranging a series of tournaments where lucky players can win  a slice of Ivey’s WSOP winnings. Top players will come away holding a percentage of Phil’s final table prize, meaning that the higher he finishes the more the players win. To be in with a shot at the money all you need do is carry on playing. Tickets for a random freeroll draw will be awarded to all players for playing in tournaments, cash games, and Sit & Gos. To start generating tickets, visit the Cashier in the Full Tilt client, navigate to My Promotions and opt in for the Piece of Ivey promotion.

If you win a hand while on a Ring Game table then, as well as dragging the pot, you’ll also pick up 5 tickets. If you finish in the money in a tournament or S&G with at least 30 players then you’ll receive 20 tickets for each Full Tilt Point earned from the entry fee. Seven Full Tilt Points are awarded per $1 spent in tournament entry fees. If you cash in a tournament with less than 30 entrants then you only get 5 tickets per Full Tilt Point.

Each ticket will count for one entry into the random draw. For every ticket you will be entered into the ‘1% of Ivey $50k Freeroll’ draw and the ‘5% of Ivey Main Event’ draw. As an added bonus, each ticket will also win you an entry into the Daily Cash draw. At 10:00 ET, 600 of the previous day’s tickets will be randomly selected. Five people will win $100, twenty five will win $25, two hundred will win $10, and 400 will win $5. Over the course of the whole promotion, over $150,000 will be given away. Plus, on November 5th, twice as many people will win each cash prize.

The Piece of Ivey 1% Freeroll is scheduled to take place on Saturday November 7th at 14:00 ET. In addition to the $50k guaranteed prize pool, the overall winner of the event will be awarded the equivalent of 1% of Phil Ivey’s WSOP Main Event reward. The really big money is up for grabs in the 5% Sit & Go tournament. This exclusive 9-man tournament will have a prize pool equal to 5% of Phil Ivey’s Main Event winnings. The Winner of the table will win 3%, while second and third pick up 1% each. The 5% tournament takes place  at exactly the same time as the 1% freeroll.

Phil is guaranteed at least $1.26 million in prize money, equating to $37,800 for 3% and $12,600 for 1%. From there the potential profit ramps up considerably. If Ivey can leverage his skill advantage into a historic Main Event win then the luck promo winners will be entitled to $335,000 for 3% and $85,000 for 1%. If he finishes 5th or higher, Phil will replace Daniel Negreanu as the most successful live tournament player in the history of poker.
